Custom Domain

Every store gets a free yourstore.joomni.com address. You can change it at any time, or connect a domain you own, such as yourbrand.com or yourbrand.com.np, with free SSL.

In the dashboard:Settings › Custom DomainPlan:Subdomain: all plans · Custom domain: Basic Store and above

Change your subdomain

Under Subdomain Settings, type a new name. Joomni checks it as you type: available, already taken, or reserved (names like admin, api and www belong to Joomni).

Your old address stops working

When you change your subdomain, the old one becomes available for anyone else to take. Update any links you've shared, such as on social media profiles, business cards and QR codes.

Connect your own domain

You need a domain you already own, bought from any registrar (for example a .com.np from register.com.np, or a .com from Namecheap or GoDaddy), and access to its DNS settings.

  1. Add the domain

Type it under Custom Domains (for example yourbrand.com, without https:// or www) and add it.
  2. Add two DNS records at your registrar

    RecordValue
    A record (root domain)Type A · Name @ · Value 45.117.153.245
CNAME record (www)Type CNAME · Name www · Value cname.joomni.com
Use the copy buttons in the dashboard to avoid typos. Remove any older A or CNAME records for @ and www that point elsewhere.
  3. Wait for DNS to update

Usually minutes, but it can take up to 24–48 hours.
  4. Click Verify DNS

Joomni checks that the records point to your store.
  5. Click Provision SSL

This issues a free security certificate so your site loads on https:// with the padlock. Joomni renews it for you.

Your domains are listed under Your Domains, with the Primary one marked. Your joomni.com subdomain keeps working as a fallback.

Troubleshooting

ProblemWhat to check
Verify DNS failsThe records may not have spread yet; wait and try again. Check for typos, and that there’s no second A record for @ pointing elsewhere.
SSL provisioning failsDNS must be fully updated first. Verify DNS, then provision SSL.
www works but the bare domain doesn’t (or the reverse)One of the two records is missing. You need both the A and the CNAME record.
Using CloudflareSet the records to “DNS only” (grey cloud) while verifying and provisioning SSL.

Moving from another platform?

Before switching DNS, add redirects for your old site's important URLs, so search rankings carry over.
