Redirects
A redirect sends anyone who visits an old address to a new one. Use redirects when you rename a page, remove a product, or move from another platform, so old links, bookmarks and Google results don't end in a 404.

From
The old path, for example/old-pageor/products/winter-jacket-2024.To
Pick one of your pages from the search, or type any path or full URL (/new-page,https://example.com).Type
301 Permanent (recommended for SEO; search engines move the old page's ranking to the new one) or 302 Temporary (short-term changes and A/B tests).Active
Leave it on. Turn it off later to pause the redirect without deleting it.
The Redirects list
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| From → To | The old and new addresses. |
| Type | 301 or 302. |
| Hits | How many visits the redirect has caught. A redirect with no hits for months can probably go. |
| Status | Active or paused. |
Deleting a redirect means visitors to the old URL see a normal 404 page again.
Renaming a page? Joomni can do it for you
When you change a page's URL handle in Page SEO & Settings, tick Redirect the old URL to the new one and the redirect is created automatically.
Moving from another platform
If you're moving from Shopify, WordPress or Wix, list your old site's most-visited URLs (your old analytics or Google Search Console will show them) and add a 301 redirect for each one to the matching Joomni page. Do this before you point your domain at Joomni.
