Campaigns

Campaigns send a one-off marketing email, such as a sale announcement, a new collection or a festival greeting, to your customers, and show you how many opened it.

In the dashboard:Sales & Marketing › CampaignsPlan:Business and above

Create a campaign

  1. Click New campaign

    This opens New Email Campaign.
  2. Campaign name

For your records only, for example “July Sale Announcement”.
  3. Subject line

What customers see in their inbox. Keep it short and specific: “20% off everything this weekend!”
  4. Choose the audience

    • All customers (marketing opt-in): everyone who agreed to receive marketing email.
    • Customers with a specific tag: only customers you've tagged, for example wholesale or vip.
  5. Write the email body

The body is HTML, so you can use headings, links, images and buttons.
  6. Save as draft, or send

Save it as a draft to finish later. When you're ready, choose to send it and confirm Send this campaign now?

Tracking results

The Campaigns list shows each campaign's status, audience and Opened count. Deleting a campaign also removes its send history, and it can't be undone.

Only customers who opted in

Campaigns go only to customers who agreed to marketing email; you can see each customer's marketing status on their profile. That keeps you on the right side of spam rules and protects your sender reputation.

Better delivery

Campaigns use your store's email settings. Sending through your own domain with a custom SMTP server means fewer emails land in spam.

Good campaign habits

  • One message per email: one sale, one launch, one announcement.
  • Include a clear link back to the product, collection or page.
  • Pair the email with a discount code and an end date to create urgency.
  • Send yourself a draft first and check it on your phone.
