Dev stores & transfers
A dev store is a store you build for a client before they have a Joomni account. It’s free while you work on it. When it’s ready you transfer it: the client becomes the owner, their free trial starts that day, and you stay on as a collaborator.

Create a dev store
Click New dev store
Enter the store name and subdomain, and choose Online store or Business website.Build it
Click Build to open it in the normal dashboard (it has a Dev badge in the store switcher). You are its owner until the transfer.

Transfer it to your client
Click Transfer to client
Enter your client's email address. It must be the email they will sign in with, and it can't be your own.Your client gets an email
It links to a page showing the store and who built it. The link works for 7 days and only once. Sending again (Resend) replaces the earlier link, and Cancel transfer stops it.Your client accepts
They sign in with that email and click Accept. If they don't have a Joomni account yet, they create one first and then open the link from the email again.
What happens when the client accepts
- The client becomes the owner. The store becomes a normal store and their 14-day free trial starts that day.
- You become a collaborator with full access. The client can change or remove it under Settings › Collaborators. The store moves from Dev stores to Clients in your portal.
- API keys and AI connections you created on the store while you owned it are revoked, because collaborators can't hold them.
- The store is credited to you for commission. See Earnings.
- Search engines are allowed again, and the client can connect their own domain.
Accounts must match
The transfer can only be accepted by an account with the exact email you entered. If your client is signed in with a different account, the page asks them to switch.
