Builder Privacy Notice | Joomni Studio

This notice covers what Joomni Studio does with a builder's information. It sits alongside the main Joomni Privacy Policy, which still applies to your account, and the Builder Terms.

1. What we collect

Account

Your name, email address and password (stored only as a hash). If you sign up with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google, and no password is created.

Application

Display name, profile handle, biography, location, portfolio and GitHub links, your description of your experience, and what you say you want to build.

Programme activity

Your sandboxes and their contents, the themes you submit, review outcomes and reviewer notes, policy strikes, tier, and install and rating counts.

Payout details

Bank or wallet details, collected only if and when paid themes are enabled and you choose to be paid. These are encrypted before storage.

2. Why we collect it

To assess your application and operate the programme
To provide sandboxes and the theme builder
To review, publish and attribute your themes
To calculate and, in future, pay your revenue share
To detect abuse — spam sandboxes, plagiarism, and attempts to bypass the code rules
To contact you about your application, your themes and programme changes

3. What is public

A builder profile is a public web page. Once your application is approved, joomni.com/b/your-handle is visible to anyone and can be indexed by search engines. Choose a display name, handle and biography you are comfortable being found by.

Public

Display name, handle, biography, avatar and location
Your tier, total installs and average rating
The date you joined the programme
Your published themes, and your byline on each of them

Never public

Your email address
Payout and bank details
Your application answers, reviewer notes and strike history
Your sandboxes and any unpublished work
Your earnings

A pending or rejected application has no public page at all. Applying does not reveal that you applied.

4. Who else sees it

Merchants see your public profile and byline on themes they browse or install.
Joomni staff reviewing applications and submissions see your application and your submitted themes.
Service providers — hosting, email delivery and, in future, payment processing — handle data on our instructions only.
We may disclose information where the law requires it.

We do not sell builder information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

5. How long we keep it

Application records are kept while your profile exists, so review history survives a reapplication.
A rejected application is kept so that a resubmission can be compared against it.
Sandboxes are deleted when you delete them or leave the programme.
Records of published themes and completed sales are retained as long as accounting and tax rules require, even after you leave.

6. Your choices

Edit your public profile at any time from the studio.
Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
Leave the programme, which takes down your public profile and removes your themes from the catalogue.
Delete your Joomni account entirely, subject to the retention rules above.

One limit worth being clear about: deleting your profile does not reach into stores that already installed your themes. Those copies belong to the merchant and stay where they are, as described in section 5 of the Builder Terms.

7. Security

Passwords are stored as hashes and never in readable form. Payout details are encrypted before storage. Access to application and payout data is limited to staff who need it to run the programme. No system is perfectly secure, so tell us at [email protected] immediately if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.

8. Changes

If we change this notice materially we will tell you by email or in the studio before the change takes effect.
